Season start delayed further

The process of designing and developing  the wing flap link rods has turned out to be significantly more challenging than we had originally anticipated. Creating blueprints and developing the flap rods has used up more time which in turn will push back the actual  manufacturing process of the new parts. Consequently, the beginning of the 2017 flying season will be delayed further. The members of the maintenance team anticipate that the Breitling Super Constellation will be ready to begin the 2017 flying season on June 19th at the earliest.

As a result, the following flights will be cancelled: RUAG, STEAMDAY COMBO A+B, PARADE NAVALE, BLUEMLISALP, SAURER, DORNIER, SHOWTIME (Pardubice/CZ), LEIPZIG 90, JUBILÄUM, and AUENSEE

The following flights will be conducted on their respective alternative dates: JAMIE (new date June 19), PAYERNE (new date August 31), FRIBOURG (new date August 31), BIVIO (new date July 29), TICINO BELLO (new date July 29) and WOLLIS (new date August 13).

The members of the board regret this additional delay, and ask for your understanding. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the members of our maintenance team as well as other external supporters who have been working tirelessly in order to make sure the Super Constellation will soon be able to take to the skies again.
